i have a T115 and i love it. i had an ACER aspire One with the Atom N270 processor and the battery only lasted for about 3 hours. (half way from Atlanta to LAX which was unacceptable.) as i make 6+ hour flights all the time i needed something with the battery power to get it done. The T115 really meets that need. the battery lasts at least 8.5 hours each time i have used it until it was drained and the ergonomics of the 11.6″ form factor are almost the same as my full sized laptop. (my ACER was the 8.9″ 1024×600 screen res was trying at times…) i upgraded mine to 4 GB or ram it was straightforward and only cost $30.00. my T115 came with a copy of Windows 7 home premium installed however i was not able to use all of the ram i installed because it was 32bit so i upgraded to 64bit. the windows 7 key from the bottom of my laptop worked fine for 64bit and all of the Toshiba software that was pre-installed on the computer has 64 bit versions available on the Toshiba website. also my system has a higher windows experience score now that i am running 64bit i now get a 3.2 windows score instead of the 2.9 i had when running 32bit. all in all this will make a great new companion for me as i travel and do presentations. one gripe, the finish is super shiny and fingerprints and scratches will be a serious problem. order a neoprene sleeve for it as soon as you can. also as i travel quite a bit it would have been nice if it was a bit more rugged but at the price point it is sold at one cannot expect the laptop to be made of metal like more expensive ultralights in the category.

I picked up my Bosch 1677M a few years back with some birthday money, so now a few years later I’ve had a chance to use it a lot. I own several wormdrived saws (Skil, Rigid, and Bosch) but I always seem to use my Bosch 1677M the most. It’s 15 amps, I like the magnesium shoe plate, and it sounds and feels very smooth when your are making your cuts. I made myself a 4 foot cutting guide specificly for this saw, so I can always make straight cuts on sheet goods. The saw exudes quality. I had a contractor I hired at my condo in SoCal replacing a huge beam on my balcony. His circular saw quit on him, so I let him borrow my Bosch 1677M to make some of his cuts. He loved it, and said he may buy himself one! The saw came standard with the rafter hook(nice), and has turned out to be what I would expect from Bosch, a GREAT saw. I use a Freud 24T framing blade for 2x lumber and a Freud 40T blade for my sheet goods. Use good blades, and change the oil ocassionally, and it should last a lifetime. It just one of those tools that every time I use it, it makes me happy. I’m so glad I bought it. Very highly recommended.

I have had my unit for about two weeks now and have been testing it out on all my local trips to make sure it works and does not send me in the wrong direction locally, so I know I can depend on it when I have no idea where I am going. It has been great and has guided me to every point without incident. The voice prompts are very clear. The night mode is excellent and the unit is very easy to see. The interface is extremely user friendly, my 9 year old insists on typing in all our addresses and she has already mastered it. The POI’s are also very cool. It has found every restaurant or drug store I have searched for. The one complaint I have is the outdated map and that is not really the units fault. If you call magellan within 30 days of receipt and jump through a few hoops (provide proof of purchase and pay $10 shipping) you get an updated map. Overall excellent unit so far..

From the fastest routing mode, the software installed in this GPS was taking us on local roads with congested traffic instead of keeping us freeways. Fortunately about a month after I bought it, Magellan posted firmware that corrected the problem.

The software on the Magellan 1430 is a bit curious, to say the least: Our subdivision, which has been in existence for over 3 years, shows up on their map data, but NOT in the address database. We can’t even enter our ‘home’ address as a starting point, because it doesn’t recognize our street as being in existence, even though it shows it clearly on the map portion of the device! What the heck?!?!?

It would be much easier to use if I could actually enter my home address as a starting location; other than that, on the “pro” side, it talks to you, so you don’t have to try and read a screen while driving (yikes!!)

I REALLY hope Magellan gets their software act together soon! If/when they do, this unit would be great, until then its kind of a waste of cash. I would recommend going with Garmon until Magellan can properly synchronize the different types of data information so this unit is actualy usable. What good is having great, up-to-the-minute maps if you can’t enter the addresses that correspond with the points on those maps?!?!?

I purchased this unit to complement a Samsung LN52a550 HDTV. Didn’t feel there was enough sound from the unit to complement the samsungs outstanding video. Shopped for reasonably priced HTIB units and decided (despite cautions that most didn’t perform) to give this unit a try. In my wildest expectations I never thought this unit would perform up to its marketing description. Placed in a den of that is approx. 15 x 25 and playing a Dolby DVD, it placed me in a cinema that provides sound effects that truly astounded. I’ll qualify this by saying that I’m a audio neophyte but for this sound at this amount of money I am truly impressed.

Be aware that this Sony unit is being used with a Samsung HDTV and consequently the transition between DVD usage & HDTV usage (must change input source) is a bit bothersome. I found that in order to obtain full surround sound from the unit when receiving audio only from you TV (not from the DVD) you must purchase a digital optical cable.

Hope I haven’t misled any one but if you select this unit I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed.

This Home theater system is great. The wireless system is nearly perfect, so far only a couple of weird click noises, but I have been using this 24/7 and it has worked beautifully. The design is really elegant for the price. Before getting this system I tried a Panasonic SC-PT660 5 DVD Home Theater System, the Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX587WC 5.1 Channel Theater System and the Sony HSS360 component system. And this system beats all of them by a mile. Highly Recommended.

Got this system a couple days ago, and it just blows me away. The sound is amazing, the sub really kicks out deep bass, its looks great and the picture is crystal clear also. The rear wireless has been flawless, microwave, cordles phone does not interfere with it at all. I have this system in a medium room and sounds wonderful. Has a 5 dvd/cd changer, am/fm tuner, ipod cradle included, input in front for headphones and mp3 player, hdmi, component, composite video out and coaxil and optical input also. The romote is not universal but works only for Sony Bravia lcd’s only. For the price, i recommend this unit to everyone.

I purchased these online and got them less than a week. I am thrilled with this purchase. The design goes well with both contemporary & traditional decor. The chaises are solid and appear to be well built. * The cushions, although made in a stain-getting off-white, are comfortable enough. There are 2 matching-fabric covered buttons on the front of the cushion for what I can only assume was for looks.

Before buying this item, I looked everywhere trying to get the dimensions of the cushions to get quotes on getting new ones. I didn’t find them online anywhere, but now that I have these, here are the measurements in case anyone needs them:

* The cushion itself is approx 3″ thick.

* The cushion is in 2 parts – one for the seat back and one that is the seat bottom (where your legs go) and are connected with a piece of flat fabric.

* The SEAT BACK cushion measures: 25″ wide x 28″ long.

* The SEAT BOTTOM cushion measures: 27.5″ wide x 46″ long with a 1″ notch 10″ from the top of seat bottom (to accommodate the arms).

I got prices to replace the cushion in a more user-friendly color of sunbrella fabric and got prices from $200 – $260 per chaise. I have ultimately abandoned this idea and have purchased terry cloth chaise cushion covers from Pottery Barn for less + the covers are washable!

We ordered four of these chaise lounges for our pool. They are very nice, but the fabric gets dirty very fast. Also, the buttons on the cushons come off very easily. You’ll have to take the cushons inside if it rains, because they get wet and stay wet.

Overall, nice chairs, very sturdy frames, but so-so cushons. Replacement cushons are VERY expensive.

Beautiful and sturdy chaise lounge. Appears to be made very well and is very comfortable. Well worth the price!

I recently purchased one of these and am pleased with the power, capacity, versatility, and especially the quiet operation. However, the installation was more than i had anticipated.

Assuming that you are replacing another disposer that is more than a few years old, you should be prepared to replace much of the surrounding hardware including the dishwasher anti-siphon valve, hose, and clamps. This disposer does not come with a power cord and the instructions direct you to use the one from your old unit. In fact, you will probably need to buy a new cord made specifically for the ISE, especially if your old disposer is another make; ISE’s have a special strain-relief clamp which will prevent the cord from being yanked out. While you’re under the sink you may as well check for leaks, replace the contact paper and patch any drywall knocks that have happened over the years.

The real gotcha with the Evolution Series is that it’s wider than most other models, which means that you’ll probably need to cut and realign PVC drain pipes to make it fit. For me this involved 3-dimensional measurements, trigonometry, and second-guessing about why somebody before me installed drain pipe that way in the first place. The wider body of the Evolution also means you will have less under-sink storage space available, which might be the difference between keeping a trash container down there or not.

ISE also makes a lower-capacity Evolution model that is just as powerful and has dimensions more similar to their Badger line. If i had it to do again, i would have gotten the smaller one instead and hopefully avoided the PVC work. Still, this is a great disposer now that it’s in place.

Replaced a Badger 1 with the Essential Evolution and am amazed at how quiet it is. There is absolutely no vibration while it was working. The chamber is so much larger than the old one. I like that you can remove the baffle to clean it and actually be able to clean inside the stainless steel chamber too. It is quite a bit wider than the old one but most of the difference in size is at the top so it doesn’t take up extra usable space. At least not under my sink. My husband installed it and said it was easy to put in. The electric cord is not supplied so he used the one from the old (3-year) disposer. You may have to get a cord if you’re not hard wiring the disposer. After one week of intense use, I think it’s great.

After reading some reviews and getting a deal on one, I installed this over a couple of hours last week with no major issues. I was a little concerned at first because it was so much bigger than the one it was replacing. Everything was detailed out very well in the directions that came with it. A+ for the directions. The only customization I had to do was trim down an existing piece of PVC pipe and refit it under my sink. Trust me, this part only took about 5 minutes to do. These are very easy and straightforward to install.

The InSinkErator itself works like a champ. It runs very quiet and smoot. Hardly know it’s on at all. Definitely worth the investment and don’t let the install scare you. The directions hold your hand right through it.

“In a time of ancient gods, warlords, and kings, a land in turmoil cried out for a hero. She was Xena, a mighty princess forged in the heat of battle. The power. The passion. The danger. Her courage will change the world.”

If you don’t recognize the above, you’ve been in a distant land since at least 1995, and this review isn’t really for you. But you should buy this collection immediately, because you’re in for an entirely novel treat.

Xena: Warrior Princess is a spin-off series from “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”, which followed 5 “Action Pack” (don’t ask) Hercules movies. The Hercules and Xena stories are revisionist tales of antiquity. Most of the names are right (”Hercules” instead of “Herakles”, and the Roman “Cupid” instead of Greek “Eros” are notable exceptions), but anachronisms abound. We first see Xena sitting on her horse, complete with stirrups (1000 years before their invention) and saddle horn (2000 years early). Xena’s sword is bronze, but steel implements abound in an era when Indian Wootz steel was a commodity valued above gold. The wet countryside of New Zealand doubles for the dry Mediterranean clime of Greece. And barbarian warriors look suspiciously like Maori. Obviously the emphasis is on entertainment rather than historical accuracy. It’s a good thing, too, because the entertainment value is outstanding.

The premise of the series is that Xena was a teenager living in the Greek village of Amphipolis when it was attacked. She rallied her neighbors to mount a successful defense. Then she took the surrounding towns to have a defensive perimeter. One thing led to another, and Xena was a warlord terrorizing the countryside. But, true to her original intent, she spared defenseless women and children. When her underlings thought that made her soft she broke from them, and began an epic quest for redemption. Soon after this she met Gabrielle, a young villager whose community is raided. With ambitions exceeding her small town’s reach Gabrielle decides to follow Xena on her travels.

Xena is a mythic hero. Lacking the godly strength of Hercules, she nevertheless matches him in battle by virtue of superhuman agility. Plus, as she says, “I have many skills” — including tactics, strategy, eastern martial arts, horsemanship, medicine, and singing. Xena is at the top of her form when we first see her. In sharp contrast to this we watch Gabrielle as she transforms from quick-witted but unsophisticated villager to wannabe bard to reluctant warrior.

Lucy Lawless got an early entry into the Hercules/Xena universe; she played Lysia in “Hercules and the Amazon Women”, the very first of the movies that preceded the “Hercules” series. In fact this earlier role was a strike against her when trying out for the part of Xena in the “Hercules” series. But hair dye, boots with lifts, and skin bronzer transformed Lucy Lawless (5′ 10 1/2″, light brown hair, pale skin) to Xena (6′ tall, brown-black hair, olive complexion). Add in a passable American accent, and this native New Zealander carried off the role of an Americanized Greek mythic hero with aplomb. When you see Xena riding at the gallop or trading blows with a foe that’s really Lucy Lawless; when Xena is tumbling through the air it’s a stunt performer.

Renee O’Connor also got an early start; she played an earlier version of Deianeira, Hercules’ wife, in “Hercules and the Lost Kingdom”, the second Hercules movie, before landing the role of Gabrielle. In the first season of X:WP O’Connor is listed as “also starring”, after the title; only Lawless gets “starring” billing.

Various continuing characters from “Hercules” appear in Season One of X:WP:
- Kevin Smith as Ares, God of War
- Kevin Sorbo as Hercules
- Michael Hurst as Iolaus (Hercules’ sidekick); also as Charon
- Robert Trebor as Salmoneus, mercurial merchant
- Bruce Campbell as Autolycus, King of Thieves
- Erik Thomson as Hades, God of the Underworld

Season One of Xena introduced a number of new faces that would become familiar:
- Danielle Cormack as Ephiny, Amazon warrior
- Paul Norell as Falafel, food stand vendor
- Karl Urban, who would appear again in seasons 2+ as Julius Caesar
- Hudson Leick as Callisto, nemesis extraordinaire
- Ted Raimi as Joxer, bumbling would-be warrior

More notable one-shot guest stars from Season One included:
- Kate Hodge as Celesta, Goddess of Death
- Galyn G”rg as Helen of Troy
- Tim Thomerson as Meleager the Mighty
- Peter McCauley as Talmodeus

Season One of X:WP was shot on 16mm film to keep production costs down, so the DVD video transfer is no better than you’d expect. The audio is quite a bit better, including outstanding music by Joseph LoDuca. The Xena theme, in particular, is a wonderful mix of bouzouki, french horns, and strings to mix traditional Greek sounds with the stirring European classical melodies we’ve come to associate with inspirational themes.

The 7-disc Season One collection is remarkable mostly for what it DOESN’T have. There are NO extras in the Season One DVDs AT ALL. Each of the 24 episodes is 44 minutes 15 seconds or less. There are no DVD or CC captions. There are no extra chapter stops; each episode has 5 or 6 chapters. The 7th disc is a CD-ROM, with rather unremarkable content. There are no printed guides in the set.

6 DVDs, with 4 episodes each; 24 total episodes
1 CD-ROM:
- Screensaver
- Cast & Director bios
- “Scrolls” – episode cast lists, guest stars (”mortals” and “gods”), search through the scrolls text
- Season One trivia game

Xena: Warrior Princess is a fun, butt-kicking action series. It’s a shame that the DVD collection of Season One is both low on extra content and high on price.

The 1st Season of Xena was addictive, mindblowing and, like all beginnings, had some kinks to be worked out. The casting of Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor was phenomenal from day one; Lawless (as most of you probably know) plays a profound, regretful, blue eyed, powerful former warlord who, thanks to help from Hercules, sets out to thoughtfully atone for her past reign of terror.

“Nothing you can do can erase the shame you’ve brought onto your kinsmen,” Xena’s mother exclaims. “Probably not,” Xena admits sadly, eyes dropping, “but I’m going to spend the right of my life trying.” And does she ever! In one of her first attempts at being “good”, the warrior princess lays eyes on Gabrielle, a spirited and selfless village girl who, after seeing Xena’s heroics, wants to “join up with Xena” and “wants to be a warrior like her” As all fans know, Gabrielle is instrumental in reforming Xena by sharing her unconditional love & showing her how much good there is to be done. Xena, of course, has a renewed purpose & reason to live while gladly ready to die for Gab. Like most 1st seasons, the characters are a little shaky, the acting is new & unsual, & the plots are somewhat undefined & experimental & therefore not as soul pinching, action packed and heartpounding as the seasons that so bravely followed. Also, while X & G’s relationship grew dramatically over the years, it was only “friendly” at this stage of the game. At least they wised up in the 2nd season.

Still, it holds a special place in the hearts of all Xena fans as the noble beginning of a timeless legend of pursuing the things that matter: love, sacrifice, the greater good, nobility, triumpth, loss, life.

There are 24 great episodes but HIGHLIGHTS include:
“Sins Of The Past” -pilot episode
Xena journeys homeward determined to atone for the sins of her past, but her efforts to begin a new life are challenged by the vengeful warlord Draco. A betrothed village girl, Gabrielle, takes to the warrior princess immediately.

“Dreamworker”
Xena must enter the magical realm of the Dreamscape to rescue Gabrielle after she is kidnapped by an unlikely god.

“Altared States”
Xena & Gab intervene to save young boy from being sacrificed to a “one God” by his own father

“The Greater Good”
When Xena is hit with a poisoned dart, Gab must disguise herself as the warrior princess in a plan to save Salmoneous and a town from an evil warlord

“Callisto”
Xena must battle the fierce woman warrior Callisto, who is bent on revenge for the burning death of her family by evil Xena years ago. One of my top ten faves of all times…

“Is There A Doctor In The House?”
Xena attempts to end the Mitoan-Thessalian War while trying to use her medical knowledge to save the lives of numerous casualties, including the critically wounded Gabrielle

There are a ton of bargin bin versions of this movie out there. Most of them are less than $10 dollars and what you get is a transfer that looks like it was done from VHS to DVD. The sound is always poor and crackles and if you try to watch it on anything larger than a 25 inch TV, it looks stretched and distorted.

This copy seems to have been run through and remaster and noise reduction. The picture is crisp and the sound is clean. I watched this on my 50+ inch HDTV and it looks good.

Although I personally love this movie, I noticed that almost all of the reviewers of this version (supposedly “real name” ones as well) seem to be the same person, probably an employee of Triad Productions. I noticed that by clicking the “see all my reviews” hyperlink underneath the reviewers’ names gave me a list of the products they had reviewed, and nearly all of them were movies produced by Triad Productions, and all were reviewed extremely favorably. Therefore, I have concluded that this is the same phenomena seen in the Dilbert cartoon [...] .

I find it highly suspicious that the reviewers of this product just happen to have written all their reviews about Triad Productions films and given all of them very favorable ratings.

This may be just a coincidence, but if it is it certainly is a huge one.

I saw this movie in the theatre on opening night. I still enjoy watching it. The acting in this movie is great, and the storyline is top notch as well. I think the movie represents the attitudes in small town America as they were. I know of many cases in real life that were a lot like this plot, but in real life the protagonists faired worse than Kevin Bacon. I have heard a lot of bad reviews about this movie from people who watch it today. Mostly because it is a “white” film with almost no racial diversity considering the subject matter. Well, you have to look at the social and cultural context in which the film was made to begin with. I happened to live in a small colorado town during my teen years and HELLO we only had 1 black family in the town. That was reality, as it was in many small towns. And as for the music, mind you, this was about 4 years before the forthcoming of the rudimentary forms of rap and hip hop. Micheal Jackson had more white fans than black, and most blacks listened to rock and roll. You cannot judge this film by modern standards and do it justice. I think that if you keep an open mind you will enjoy this film a great deal.

I loved footloose in the 80’s and I still love it now! It is definitely a classic, along with Top Gun. This movie will always be one of the best – Kevin Bacon was wonderful! The soundtrack is great, too!

Out of a total of 145 episodes we will surely own 58 episodes, only Four seasons consisting of 87 episodes are left and I hope all of them will be released very shortly.

In the late 70’s and early 80’s, television viewers fell in love with The Dukes Of Hazzard, a weekly foray into the fictional setting of Hazzard County, Georgia. Cousins Bo and Luke Duke (John Schneider and Tom Wopat) spent each episode trying to do good, while the loveable “Boss” Hogg (Sorrell Booke) concocted various schemes for making money and having the Duke boys (who always foiled his plans) thrown in jail for violating their probation (the result of a deal with the federal government to end the centuries-old Duke family tradition of bootlegging).

Joining Bo and Luke are their Uncle Jesse (Denver Pyle), a grandfatherly figure who owns the family farm, and Cousin Daisy (Catherine Bach), whose skimpy shorts coined the cultural term “daisy dukes”. Along with “Crazy” Cooter (Ben Jones), the local mechanic, they create a formidable threat to the money-making shenanigans of Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane (James Best) and the owner of seemingly every business entity in Hazzard County, “Boss” Hogg.

But critics will argue that the true star of the show was the General Lee, Bo and Luke’s bright orange Dodge race car with the Confederate flag pasted on its roof…

The Dukes Of Hazzard (Season 3) DVD provides a number of famous episodes, including guest appearances by musicians Tammy Wynette, Roy Orbison, and The Oak Ridge Boys. Sheriff Little of Chickasaw County (Don Pedro Colley) makes his first of many appearances on the show in Season 3. With Waylon Jennings’s weekly narrations as “The Balladeer” (performing artist of the show’s legendary, chart-topping theme song), The Dukes Of Hazzard provides hours of family-friendly programming as Boss and Roscoe match wits with the Duke clan…

Below is a list of episodes included on The Dukes Of Hazzard (Season 3) DVD:

Episode 37 (Carnival of Thrills: Part 1)
